Let us pray also for leaders and law makers to work together for the common good, for fair economic justice, and poverty reduction programs. Poverty is a leading cause why women choose abortion, as few other options to support them are available.- For all those who govern us, our President, the members of Congress and of the Supreme Court, that they may frame laws that are life-giving, and life supporting. And, that they have the courage and wisdom to establish and promote laws that protect and uphold the dignity of human life from conception until natural death.
We pray to the Lord!- For our Faith Communities to be compassionate towards those who are poor and suffering, in our own towns and cities, to actively support life affirming laws and social programs to mitigate the suffering, investing in social structures to end the injustice of poverty.
- And, to be as compassionate to those poor peoples in other countries, to support effective world organizations working to alleviate suffering, and develop programs of self-sufficiency. Cross Catholic Outreach and Catholic Relief Services are two International Agencies worthy of our support, as are many others.
