  • Are You Curious About the Catholic Faith?

Maybe you've been coming to Mass with someone you love. Maybe you were raised in another Christian tradition or with no particular faith at all. Perhaps you've been away from faith for a long time.

Or maybe something has simply been stirring in your heart, and you're wondering:

Could God be leading me toward the Catholic Church?

You don't need to have the answer before you contact us.

You don't have to be ready to become Catholic. You only need to be willing to explore.

    Come With Your Questions

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the journey through which adults learn about the Catholic faith and discern whether God may be calling them to become Catholic.

It is a place to ask real questions, learn what Catholics actually believe, encounter Jesus Christ more deeply, and discover what it means to live the Catholic faith.

There is no pressure or obligation to become Catholic simply because you begin the conversation.

Questions are welcome. Doubts are welcome. Your story is welcome.

    Who Is OCIA For?

OCIA may be right for you if:

    • You have never been baptized and are interested in Christianity and the Catholic faith.
    • You were baptized in another Christian tradition and are interested in becoming Catholic.
    • You were baptized Catholic but never received First Communion or Confirmation and would like to complete your initiation into the Church.
    • You simply want to learn more about Catholicism before deciding what, if anything, comes next.

Every person's journey is different. There isn't a one-size-fits-all timetable or path.

We begin by listening to your story.

    What Can I Expect?

You'll have opportunities to learn about Jesus Christ, Scripture, prayer, the Mass, the Sacraments, Catholic beliefs and traditions, and what it means to follow Christ as part of the Catholic Church.

You'll also have people walking alongside you who are there to listen, answer questions, pray with you, and help you discern your next step.

Becoming Catholic isn't simply about completing classes. It is a journey of faith and a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

    Not Sure You're Ready?

    That's okay.

Reaching out doesn't commit you to anything. It simply begins a conversation.

Whether you've been thinking about becoming Catholic for years or the thought crossed your mind for the first time this week, we would be happy to hear from you.

    Start the Conversation

Contact either of our parish communities and simply tell us you're interested in learning more about becoming Catholic.

There is a place for your questions here. Come and see where God may be leading you.
