The Altar Society serves our parish by prayerfully caring for the sanctuary and helping prepare our sacred space for the celebration of Mass and other liturgies. Members care for altar linens, sacred vessels, server robes, and other items used in worship, helping ensure that our church is prepared with reverence and care.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion serve the Church by assisting with the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass when needed. Some ministers also bring Holy Communion to parishioners who are homebound or living in nursing homes, extending the prayer and sacramental life of our parish communities to those who are unable to join us at Mass. Ministers are prepared for this sacred responsibility and serve with reverence and care.

Our Greeters offer a warm and welcoming presence as people arrive for Mass. By offering a friendly greeting, answering questions, and helping visitors feel at home, they remind everyone who enters our doors that there is a place for them here. This simple ministry of hospitality helps create a welcoming community before the celebration of Mass even begins.

Lectors serve the Church by proclaiming Sacred Scripture during Mass, helping the assembly hear and receive the Word of God. Those called to this ministry prepare prayerfully for the readings and proclaim them clearly and reverently at weekend Masses and other liturgical celebrations. Training and guidance are provided for new lectors.

Join us online for Evening Prayer, also called Vespers, part of the Liturgy of the Hours—the Church's daily prayer prayed by Catholics throughout the world. Through Scripture, psalms, and prayer, we pause at the close of the day to turn our hearts toward God. Evening Prayer takes about 15 minutes and is livestreamed online. No experience is necessary, and all are welcome to pray with us. Contact John Bullough.
Music is an important part of our celebration of the Mass, helping us lift our hearts and voices to God in prayer. Our Music Ministries include cantors, choir members, instrumentalists, and others who share their musical gifts in service to the liturgy. Whether you are an experienced musician or simply enjoy singing, we invite you to learn more about opportunities to participate.

Gathering in friendship and faith to honor our Blessed Mother
The Rosary Altar Society brings women of St. Jude the Apostle together in devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, prayer of the Rosary, friendship, and service to our parish and community.
Officially affiliated with the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary, the Society has been part of the life of St. Jude since 1958. Members seek to deepen their devotion to Mary and encourage prayer of the Rosary while putting their faith into action through charitable works, care for our parish, and service to others.
Throughout the year, Rosarians support a variety of parish and community activities, offering members opportunities to pray together, serve together, and build lasting friendships with other Catholic women.
Women of St. Jude are warmly invited to join the Rosary Altar Society. Whether you have prayed the Rosary for years or would simply like to grow in your devotion to Mary and become more connected with other women of the parish, you are welcome.
